US "Good Guy - Bad Guy" Strategy Goes Very Wrong -- Snowden Gets Three Asylum Offers

US and European Allies' Insult to Bolivia's President Enrages Latin American and the Caribbean Nations
Snowden not seen for 10 days in Moscow Airport
US "Good Guy" President Barack Obama has publicly displayed a relaxed attitude toward whistle-blower Snowden’s movements and his difficult situation at the Moscow airport.

All the while, "Bad Guy" officials of US Spy Agencies and the US Justice Department hurl ruthless words at Snowden and anyone or country who might help him, insisting they want the law-breaking whistle-blower back at all costs.

Bolivian president's jet forced to land in Vienna
Snowden not found on board
The most recent example of "Bad Guy" pressure by the US, which it refuses to acknowledge, was to persuade European allies including Spain, France and Italy to prohibit President Evo Morales jet from over-flying their air-space on the way home to La Paz from a summit meeting in Moscow. This unprecedented insult against the president of a sovereign nation forced the  presidential jet to land in Vienna, Austria, to refuel and to submit to a search of his plane. Snowden was not found.

This diplomatic affront caused immediate indignation, inflaming anti-US protests throughout Latin America and the Caribbean, so much so, that the presidents of a several neighboring countries attended an impromptu meeting  in Cochabamba, Bolivia, to dramatically protest such hostile US actions.

The end result of this diplomatic brouhaha backfired on the US -- the results three Latin American countries, Venezuela, Nicaragua and Bolivia, offer Snowden asylum --  just what the US was trying to prevent by threatening retaliation against any and all countries that helps Snowden.
